relocation.ng welcomes precise correction requests. The goal is to correct material errors promptly while preserving editorial independence, privacy and a fair record of what changed.
Submit a useful correction request
Use the contact page and identify the exact URL, disputed wording, why it is inaccurate and the change requested. Include the strongest available primary source, such as current government guidance, legislation, an official register or an authentic company record.
State your relationship to the issue when relevant. A company representative should identify the legal entity and authority to speak for it. A reader reporting personal experience should avoid sending unnecessary passport, financial, health or family data.
A general demand to remove an unfavourable page without identifying a factual error is not a complete correction request. Precise evidence helps the editor assess the issue fairly.
How the evidence is assessed
An editor compares the claim with current primary evidence, the article’s source record and the context in which the statement appears. The team may contact relevant parties or seek specialist review where the question is legal, technical or contested.
Submitting a request does not give the sender editorial control or a guaranteed outcome. Evidence is evaluated consistently whether it supports or challenges the existing page. Commercial relationships do not change the standard.
If a request cannot be resolved immediately, the editor may add an interim note where leaving the disputed claim unchanged could materially mislead readers.
Corrections, clarifications and updates
- Minor edit: spelling, grammar, formatting or a broken link that does not change the meaning may be fixed without a formal note.
- Clarification: accurate wording may be made clearer when readers could reasonably misunderstand it.
- Update: new rules, prices or evidence replace information that was accurate at the earlier publication date.
- Correction: a material factual statement was wrong and is amended with an appropriate explanation.
The editor also checks connected passages, metadata and related articles so the same error is not left elsewhere. Changing a publication date alone is not a correction.
Company responses and review disputes
A reviewed company can provide factual evidence, identify a current public record or submit a concise response. We may update the profile, quote or summarise a relevant reply, or explain why the available evidence does not support the requested change.
We distinguish a factual correction from disagreement with an editorial score. A score can change when underlying evidence changes or was applied incorrectly; it is not changed merely because the company dislikes the result.
Reader reviews may be reassessed for relevance, privacy, identity conflicts or manipulation. An “evidence checked” label does not prevent a later correction when stronger evidence appears.
Removal and privacy requests
Accurate information of legitimate public interest is not removed solely because it is critical. Removal or de-indexing may be considered where content is unlawful, dangerously inaccurate, needlessly invasive, impersonated, no longer serves a legitimate purpose or cannot be responsibly corrected.
A request involving personal data is also assessed under the applicable privacy process. The legal result depends on the site owner, jurisdiction, nature of the data and rights involved. Editorial and privacy questions may require separate decisions.
Response and publication record
The editor records the request, source evidence, decision and change. A material correction note should state what was corrected and when without repeating harmful or unnecessary personal information.
Send correction requests to corrections@relocation.ng. We aim to acknowledge messages within one business day, Monday to Friday.
Urgent legal deadlines remain the sender’s responsibility; a correction inbox is not an appeal or emergency immigration service.
Corrections FAQ
What should a correction request include?
The page URL, exact wording, explanation, requested change and strongest primary evidence.
Are small spelling fixes given correction notes?
Usually not when meaning is unchanged. Material factual corrections receive clearer disclosure.
Can a company demand that a negative review be deleted?
It can challenge inaccuracies and submit evidence, but accurate public-interest content is not removed merely because it is unfavourable.
Will the original error remain visible?
The live text is corrected. A concise note may preserve the material change without republishing unnecessary harmful detail.
Is the correction channel legal advice?
No. It addresses site content and does not manage immigration appeals, court deadlines or individual cases.
